Mad Scientist Releases
Swarm of Robotic Bees

A group of engineers from Harvard University have developed a swarm of robotic bees. Currently, power and flight control commands are transmitted from a computer to the robot via a tether. But once free flight is enabled, these “RoboBees” will be deployed on search and rescue missions, or used for military surveillance. Swarms could even pollinate crops and flowers, replicating the behavior of their biological cousins.
