    Yes. Solar in China – is booming at very fast rate. Up to 2014, China increased its total grid-connected solar power capacity to 28.05 GW; Its about 2.1% of China’s total power capacity of 1,360 GW. Out of total, 23.38 GW from solar power stations and 4.67 GW from distributed energy – solar panels installed by individual households and firms.

    China expect another 15 GW of solar capacity to the grid within 2015.

    China increased its PV cell production up to larger extents in last few years; Meanwhile, global prices of solar PV have fallen up to 80% since 2008 (20% in 2012 alone).

    According to NEA China sources, Total solar power generation increased up to more than 200% with 25 billion kilowatt hours this year, compared to the previous year.
    China aim to raise the share of non-fossil fuel energy up to 15% in overall power consumption by 2020, which was total 11.1% in 2014. Correspondingly, contribution from coal as energy use fell to 64.2% in 2014 from 66% at the end of 2013.
