  1. Jeff says:

Mr. Brown doesn’t seem to understand that there is not an enumerated power in the Constitution for congress to push for ‘jobs’, in fact it isn’t supposed to have anything to do with the economy other that provide for sound money.

“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government, are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will, for the most part, be connected. The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State.” James Madison, Federalist #45

  2. Thomas Stafford says:

Floyd understands very well. the measures he mentions are redirecting the ship of state to a more neutral position. The only thing stopping the keystone pipeline is the federal government, the only thing preventing more oil exploration and production in state and federal waters is the federal government, and the only thing stopping exploration for and production of oil on federal lands is you guessed it the federal government. He is suggesting removal of this barrier.

  3. Jack Kinch(1uncle) says:

My first though was that large donors bought his vote but if he’s not running again, could it be a one time payment?
He will retire with a nice pension. This should be stopped. Limit congress to 8 years and NO pension. Pay into SS like the rest of us.

  4. Earl P. Holt III says:

If cyanide is what it takes to rid ourselves of traitors like Boehner — who has betrayed us more times than Richard III betrayed England and the House of York — then so be it…!

  5. gary says:

GOP will die if republicans support ant type of amnesty period.
