Want to Get Inside Someone’s Head? There’s an App for That…

This may well be the ultimate technology…

How many times has someone said something to you, but you weren’t actually sure how they really feel, or thought? Sometimes, you’re not even sure what they really meant!

After all, it’s well-documented that about 93% of our communication is non-verbal, so unless you’re a Jedi master at reading the subtleties of body language, there’s often a gray area.

It happens ALL the time, and it happens to every single one of us.

Well, what if you could get inside someone’s head and find out what they really think or feel about a certain situation?

It would be about as close as you could get to having a superpower, right?

One company has come up with an innovation that “cracks the code” of verbal communication.

Technology 18 Years in the Making

Based in Israel, Beyond Verbal lives up to its name.

The company has created technology that focuses not on what a person says, but how they say it. It goes “beyond verbal,” using voice signals (such as intonation and modulation) in order to gauge the mood, feelings and emotions behind a person’s words and get a true representation of what they really think.

It’s no gimmick, either.

The Beyond Verbal team is made up of scientists, psychologists and neurologists who’ve worked on perfecting the Emotions Analytics technology since 1995.

Over that time, they’ve conducted tests on 60,000 people in 27 languages to ensure that the technology works across the board. And they’ve secured patents on it, too.

Needless to say, there are many potential applications for the technology.

How Are You Feeling Right Now? Take the Test…

For example, Beyond Verbal says it’s received plenty of interest from mental healthcare groups, who could use it to analyze their patients’ moods and “help people with other social difficulties,” according to the company’s Vice President of Marketing, Dan Emodi.

Or it could be used for safety. For instance, if you’re driving and the technology senses stress or a dangerous situation from your voice, it could work with other technologies to prevent an accident.

And the dating game need no longer be a mystery. Not when the technology can accurately interpret how the other person is feeling from their voice pattern. (Well, more accurately than humans can, anyway!)

Want to see how this technology works in reality? Beyond Verbal has a mood recognition function on its site, where you can test your own mood and see how you’re feeling. (You’ll need a microphone on your computer, of course.)
