Tim Cook’s Rotten Apple

“Because everybody else has a much faster design cycle, Apple has to come up with a new phone that’s competitive not just when it comes out, but will stay competitive for a long period of time. That’s going to be increasingly difficult.”

It’s easy to design something that is a copy of what Apple invented and developed, but it’s very difficult to produce something that makes an Apple device non-competitive by simply slavishly copying.

I’ve been listening to people like you predict Apple’s demise for 20 years now. If I’d acted on that drivel I’d have missed close to $1M in profits.
