Al Qaeda Splinter Group Declares Islamic “Caliphate”
Another epic fail, thanks to Obama… Before our president released prisoners from Guantanamo Bay, he emptied U.S.-operated detention camps in Iraq, subsequently unleashing “The World’s Public Enemy No. 1.” Since that reckless moment in 2009, the Middle East has caught hellfire, with Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi running rampant.
In hindsight, this was a terrible mistake for Obama, and an even bigger regret for the rest of the world… You see, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), led by Baghdadi, has released a message that’s now completely plastered all over social media.
The militants have established a “caliphate” (or an Islamic state) that includes a large swath of Iraq and parts of Syria. Even scarier is the fact that this is just the beginning of Baghdadi’s plans.
The ultimate goal is to span far beyond Syria and Iraq into other Muslim countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Libya.
The caliphate statements were made during an audio recording, and though the content of the video can’t be solely confirmed, ISIL’s flag is clearly identified.
As startling as it may be, you can see the militant group bulldozing what we identify as the Syrian-Iraqi border…
Operation: Blurred Lines
In the recording, the group proclaims that its flag flies from Aleppo (found in northern Syria) to Diyala province, which is in eastern Iraq. Furthermore, the radical individuals clearly state in the audio that the group has renamed itself “the Islamic State,” while giving reverence to the infamous terrorist, Baghdadi, as its leader.
Giving a little more insight into what’s to come, the group’s spokesperson claimed that one day, Baghdadi will be known as “Caliph Ibrahim,” and that he’s, in fact, “the leader for Muslims everywhere.”
Talk about a complete takeover mission: With that being said, Gulf Arab states (like Saudi Arabia) should be on high alert, as this open profession could threaten their leadership and power.
