what has happened to schweitzer and his dirty crew? can’t they get them for extortion or some other crime? they deserve jail time and not sock it to the people to pay for their upkeep, food, clothing, medical or other expenses. let them pay from their greed. hope things improve for Mines Management Incorporated and anyone injured by this monster and his gang. maybe if prisons could have the wealthy pay for their incarcerations there would less incentive for these thugs to do these terrible crimes.

SANDRA, what about the extortion and payoffs, & jumping my 90 year old MOTHER’S claims, refusing to stand by a lease agreement of 20 years owing her still 8 years @ 50,000.00 per year. It’s to late now for her. She just died June 26th, 2015. U.S. Montana judge ruled them as CLAIM JUMPERS, BUT DOBB’S JUST GOES TO HIS FRIENDS AT THE FEDERAL BLDG. and has his federal judge friend condemn her claims. She may be gone but her family is not and we will not stop until we see justice done on MMI & Glenn Dobbs. By the way, see who Dobbs is partners with, check out his BACKGROUND, MARTIN SCHALLFS… DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU START STICKING UP FOR MONSTERS.

Why doesn’t this surprise me? Most politicians upon retirement from office become lobbyist. As lobbyist they extort, bribe current politicians into making laws that benefit the wealthy at the detrimental expense of the nation and its citizens. From no taxes for the wealthy to allowing corporations to pullute our environment, etc.

The palladium prices are rising & Stillwater is moving up, but I’m not sure if the management change is essential for a large portion of the price rise, and the US valuation is still cheaper than Russia’s Norlisk, the largest player in nickel & PGM’s (platinum group metals) necessary for environmental controls?

    MY STUDIED OPINION —

1 of 10: THIS IS a factual response to the IMO biased news article and the wholly inappropriate comments by “SANDRA says:” Everything she (or he) shrills is directly applicable to Glenn Dobbs and to use “her defamatory venting” – “Dobbs’ dirty crew.” — First, Glenn Dobbs IS a Politician and has been soaking his MGN stock-holders, misnamed “shareholders” because as an “insider,” Dobbs, his son and the Mines Management (MMI) Board of Directors have not ever been upfront and IMO truthful to their stockholders of which I am one, or even truthful to the federal agencies (alleged criminal acts… lying to a federal enforcement official) attendant to the Montanore project, and the Lincoln County and Montanore regulatory officials. Nor has Dobbs and cohorts been truthful to the affected public in NW Montana who are experiencing double-digit unemployment and are most vulnerable to Dobbs’ “smiley face” projections of many future jobs, and always missing his published and vocal projections.

Those of us who live near the proposed Montanore Mine site have a whole different perspective on Glenn Dobbs of Mines Management Inc. Dobbs himself is an offshore hedge fund manager who wouldn’t know a mine from a hole in the ground. For more than a decade, Dobbs and crew have stopped at nothing — including claim jumping — to strongarm their way into Northwest Montana. The EPA has declared the Montanore Mine project to be “Environmentally Objectionable.” So is Dobbs. The entry of Optima and former gov. Schweitzer is truly a breath of fresh air.

I believe you! Now, I feel we are forced to accept the lesser of two evils. The politicians are privileged to see the corrupt CEO’s while in office; Politicians craft a plan with hedge funds to force out CEO’s and Board’s; Install themselves and perpetuate the self serving greed in a different way; Tax payers and shareholders will accept the lesser evil if they reap some of the financial benefit.

2 of 10: If you check the SEC filings you will note “insider” or beneficial filings show that Dobbs (and company principals) are playing the up-and-down swings with MGN stock for all it is worth. For example, early last year Glenn Dobbs bought two lots of shares when MGN was around a 52 cent low. I brought my shares when the MGN stock was approx. $7.00 a share in 2006, and it has been devastating to me to have my stock worth about 10% from when I purchased MGN expecting reputable, fair company management.

3 of 10: Now also, Glenn Dobbs sued me and two widows, clients of mine, who were in their 80’s, one being in a nursing home in Libby, Montana who died shortly after she was sent a threatening letter by Dobbs’ lawyer, and after she was sued. Her name was Lucille Penney, an owner of senior, valid (by the BLM) mining claims filed in 1984 that Dobbs and cohorts over-staked on or around 2005 and, under affidavit, then claimed “their mill sites were on ‘non-mineral’ land when in fact MMI also filed lode claims with “discovery” on top of those mill sites, and on top of Lucille Penney’s and Louise Voves’ (now 89) valid lode mining claims, and after MMI was caught with their “hand in the cookie jar” they then relinquished their 48 allegedly illegal lode claims as they were invalid under the Mining Law of 1872. I know those claims to be one of MMI’s many “shotgun approaches” along with allegedly illicit tunnel sites by MMI filed over abandoned tunnel sites that Noranda relinquished in 2002 when MMI was a junior joint-venture partner. BTW, in 2006 Dobbs made a pittance of an offer to Bakie for his family’s claims.

4 of 10: And the plot thickens. Dobbs only recently (after six years of silence on SEC corporate filings) let MGN stockholders know of the volatile litigation that puts or could put their company at great risk, but has yet to tell the full truth IMO, just another “smiley face.” – MMI lost in Montana District Court March 12, 2013 to the Defendants (including Bakie and Lindsey) in a court action that MMI (Dobbs) initiated in 2007. MMI then appealed to the Montana Supreme Court and tried to put a smiley face on the results of those appeals. Why would MMI try to dismiss the District Judge except they were not happy with Judge Wheelis’ ruling and wanted to have a new judge and thus start the clock all over of delays and lawyer gamesmanship again and again, even for another 7 years? – Why?

This is the reason men learned to tie hangmans nooses. If the corrupt politicians would be hung high in the capitol square for all to see, perhaps that would deter them from committing crimes. Instead they write laws which protect them from ever being penalized, treason used to be a death sentence but an executive order changed that. I wonder why?…
