    Louie, I agree your graph shows higher auto sales linked with lower unemployment, however, I think rising interest rates are playing a role here too. If a consumer is looking for higher rates in the future then they will want to purchase early. In addition, I look at the spread between unemployment and auto sales, and from a historical perspective, I see a bubble. I also think there is a possibility of some pent up consumer frustration from not being able to spend on any new items for a good while. Personally, I wouldn’t want to base my evaluation of an economy on car sales. D B
