    Perhaps it is more accurate to say that Americans are overeating the wrong foods and not getting the right kind of exercise. If Americans would everyday make alterations to their lifestyle : consume fresh fruits and vegetables in season, eat meat sparingly, and eat less grain and sugar products that have been refined and stripped of nutrients, you would see a change in calories consumed; walk more in their everyday lives, such as use stairs instead of elevators, walk to work as much as possible, etc. they would see a change in their waistlines. We have become a nation of hurry, eating the convenient foods, and living lives of convenience–we could change that and be healthier just by tweaking our lifestyle everyday just a bit here and a bit there.
