Raining on the iPhone 5 Launch Parade

Excited about getting a new iPhone 5 today? Great. Some Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) store employees aren’t in a celebrating mood, though.

Apple employees in Paris and other parts of France went on strike today, demanding better working conditions.

One employee says, “We have really bad conditions of work and hard conditions of work. And we do our best every day, so please just take care of us.”

What makes their conditions so terrible? Apparently, they’re a little thirsty, as one of their demands involves installing drinking fountains in staff areas. Others want meal vouchers and salary boosts.

That didn’t stop a long line of consumers from forming around French stores, however. And with some analysts estimating 10 million iPhone 5s will be sold, Apple doesn’t really have anything to worry about.
