Like or Dislike? Analysts Think Facebook Can Stage a Comeback
Shares of Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) have plummeted 45% since the company’s first day as a public company – something Wall Street Daily readers should have seen coming long before the IPO.
Yet analysts believe that Facebook could make a strong comeback…
Arvind Bhatia of Sterne Agee, for instance, thinks Facebook’s new ads that pop up when you try to log out should give the company a nice boost…
“So when you log out of your Facebook page you see a big ad for a company. Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) might advertise there. There are 34 million people that apparently log out on Facebook on a daily basis, so that’s a captive audience.”
Sorry, Mr. Bhatia, but a person trying to log off a site doesn’t sound like a captive audience to me.
That’s not the only bright idea being tossed around, though…
